“Wiki loves Monuments”: For the global photo contest around cultural and heritage monuments, MairDumont is presenting its popular 123POI app in the “Wiki loves Monuments” special edition.

The aim of the international photo contest “Wiki loves Monuments” around cultural and heritage monuments is to expand the Wikipedia database to include more pictures in particular. This year 35 countries around the world are participating in “Wiki loves Monuments”. In the period of the campaign from 1 to 30 September 2012, anybody who uploads a picture of a listed monument can participate.

As part of the contest, the free, multilingual 123POI edition app “Wiki loves Monuments” for iOS and Android devices will help participants to search for monuments and make it easier to upload mobile phone pictures, allowing visitors to monuments to participate in the contest.
