KOMPASS Hiking Maps
The KOMPASS Publishing Group offers Europe's biggest range of walking maps with over 600 walking maps available. The walking maps with an ideal scale of 1:25,000 to 1:50,000 cover an area extending from northern Germany down through the Alps and Italy to the Canary Islands.
The maps have been produced using digital technology for five years now – this ensures that they are as accurate as possible and right up-to-date.
Each map contains everything that outdoor enthusiasts need to know: They highlight walking trails and cycle paths appropriately according to their level of difficulty, the corresponding contour lines and types of vegetation, as well as plenty of information for tourists.
In addition, the convenient clear plastic wallet contains a supplementary booklet containing information about the region: selected walking tips, background information on the region, mountain huts and hostelries and all the key addresses can be found in it.

The comprehensive cycling guides invite you to explore the most attractive cycling routes in the surrounding area, or at your holiday resort. The tour profile gives an insight into the requirements of the tour, such as the starting point, its accessibility by public transport, walking or travelling time, character, refreshment options and details of the associated KOMPASS map.
To help you get your bearings, you can consult the overview map on which all tours are marked. A pretaste of what your walking or cycling destination is like is provided by impressive pictures which add the finishing touch to the description of any tour.

The cycling and mountain biking maps with a scale of 1:70,000 are real allrounders. Tear-resistant and weather-proof paper, an optimum format, the best scale coupled with useful information – these are the characteristic features of the maps which are published with a new look.

If you want to find the right tour for you in a traditional book format, the walking and ski tour atlases offer the ideal choice: Over 100 suggested tours ranging from those for beginners right through to experts have been explored locally on the ground by the authors. The tours are graded according to their difficulty and provided with profile sketches which give details of the altitude difference to be overcome, the walking time and the refreshment options.
The enclosed CD now also adds considerable value. You can use the CD to view the tour on your computer, zoom it, print it out and then take the individual sheet with you.
